Cork it
If there are two things I like, it’s a challenge and wine.
So when Ashley Patterson of The Green Building Center dared me to try to stain her Suberra Cork Surface by spilling a bold red on its surface, I was all over it.
Why not pour (and sip) a glass in the name of research? Surprisingly, the wine wiped away easily, even after sitting for a minute or two on the cork.
Of course, that’s not the only reason to consider this Leed-credited material for your home. Consider the fresh look it would give a desktop, kitchen island, bath vanity or tabletop. It’s stain-resistant, doesn’t foster bacteria growth, heat resistant to 350 degrees and is easily fabricated for your needs.
Check it out, along with a lot of other great home products, at The Green Building Center in SLC.
