Enter to win a $300 dinner at Mist:Salt Lake
Chef Gavin Baker is working on a dining project unlike any other in Utah. From his grandmother’s cooking in North Carolina to his stint at Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck, often called one of the best restaurants in the world, to kitchens all over Asia and the USA, he’s been gathering ideas about restaurants and cooking.
And with some help from award-winning local chefs, Baker’s launching Mist:Salt Lake, a guerilla-style restaurant open for a limited time in Salt Lake City.
Also limited are the diners allowed. You can be one of them!

Utah Style & Design is offering $300 for a dinner for two at Mist—gratuity and alcohol not included. Leave a comment below telling us why you deserve to win dinner at Mist. We’ll pick a winner on Jan. 16.
The pass is good at any 8:30 or 8:45 p.m. seating time (depending on the number of other diners that evening). You can see Mist’s calendar on the ticket sales portion of their website, here. Just click purchase to see the dates.
Mist opens Jan. 19 and lasts until Feb. 19. Visit themistproject.com for more information.

we have a thing called “happy rebeca days” at our house when my husband will randomly surprise me throughout the year with gifts- ranging from a dish set i’ve had my eye on to a weekend trip. He is such a great husband and very hands-on dad to our two toddlers (ages 3 and 1) and I’d like to be able to surprise him with a very special dinner. Before kids we use to go out and try new restaurants and foods but now we don’t get as many opportunities as we use to.
I have been living with severe crohn’s disease for two years. A little more than a year ago, I was forced to go on disability. My 16 year old son and I love a good dining experience and my change in income has changed our ability to do that very often. I would love to be able to share an experience like this with him.
I would love to surprise my mom with tickets to this dining event! She is such a hard worker and an inspiration in so many aspects. After following a drab career for 20 years, she decided her real passion is food, so she enrolled in culinary school to perfect her talents. She is now a chef and loves every minute of it. She would definitely appreciate the creativity, effort and skill that goes into a dinner like this!
I am a fledgling in culinary circles but I crave all the varied dining experience I can get. I pretty much obsess about food and everything food related. Food excites me. I can’t get enough knowledge – I am always trying new techniques and preparations and experimenting with different taste and flavor combinations. I don’t have a good sob story to tell you, I just really adore the culinary world and would die to have this opportunity!
Lou,
Congrats! We picked you as our winner. Look for an email from our Web editor, Jaime.
Thanks to all who entered,

We would love to win and experience some fine dining. We have never tried food like this, only seen it on tv. It would definitely be a great experience and one we would only get if we won.
I wish I could say I deserve a nice dinner however, I would like to win and give the dinner to my son and his new wife. They are both in the airforce and recently were married. They haven’t gotten a chance to go on a Honeymoon. He will be getting depolyed soon. I belive they deserve to go to dinner. Thank you.
