Okay, take a deep breath. If the catalogues weighing down every postal worker delivering door-to-door didn’t clue you in, the holiday season is now in full swing. To help you get your table and decor styled up, the pros at New Orientation are holding an open house today and tomorrow. The holiday offerings are on display and, along with everything else in the story, are 10 % off through Friday evening. During a recent visit, I met Utah artist Valerie Atkisson who creates silhouettes from laser-cut steel plated with precious metals.

Among her creations available at New Orientation is a nativity scene that makes a very mod creche. If you are lucky like I was, you may meet her while visiting the store.

Another favorite of New Orientation-goers is the Patience Brewster line that includes this Dashaway Vixen ornament.
