The right mirror brightens even the gloomiest of bathrooms while adding a bit of drama to the space. When paired with imaginative lighting and custom cabinetry, a unique mirror can turn a powder room into a show-stopper. To showcase the power of reflection, we’ve gathered some of our favorite uniquely shaped bathroom mirrors.

In a primary bathroom designed by Anne Marie Barton, a broad geometric mirror delivers modern flair to the bespoke vanity. Barton incorporates contemporary mirrored shapes throughout the home to contrast the interior’s traditional style. “Mirrors can deliver surprise,” she says.

When designing his dream farmhouse, homeowner and architect Brandon Bodell looked to historic precedence for inspiration. Traditional farmhouse decor takes root in every corner of the house, including his daughter’s bathroom. “We really had some fun here,” says designer Christie Lewis who hung a shapely brass mirror to complement the russet bathroom details.

A dramatic gold-framed mirror steals the show in a secondary bathroom by Hillary Taylor. Sharp lines and arrow-shaped corners add dimension to the reflective surface. The gilded frame accentuates the shining faucet below and the timeless sconces on positioned on each side.

Gold gets green light in a small powder room designed by The Fox Group. The gold, ornately framed mirror pops against the raised-panel wainscotting painted in Benjamin Mooore’s Fiddlehead Green. An antique French garden wall sink delivers historic charm to the unique space.

Formal elegance and functional ease find a gracious balance in a home designed by Catherine Goodsell. The powder room combines natural wooden textures and patterned wallpaper with a dignified curved mirror. When paired with symmetrically staged sconces, the room achieves an air of sophistication sans stuffiness.

LMK Interior Design channels a rustic-meets-modern style in a Ranch home’s master bathroom. Leather-framed mirrors hang from a polished-nickel anchor. The contemporary shape delivers an updated feel to the stone-walled room, while leather textures foster the room’s rugged style.

In Rachel Parcell’s fashionable powder room, a uniquely shaped mirror hangs on a feather patterned wallpaper by Zimmer & Rhode. The symmetrical borders mimic that of the feminine butterfly displays adjacent to the mirror. “Special touches make any space unique and personal,” says Parcell.

A scalloped mirror delivers a dainty touch to this charming bathroom by The Fox Group. The simple curves offer a contemporary contrast to Schumacher’s ornate Chickadee wallpaper. Accentuating the brass frame, Fox incorporated decorative floral lighting on either side of the mirror.
