Nine new luxury St Regis condominium units just opened in Lower Deer Valley’s Snow Park that offer convenient mountain access for skiing and connects by funicular to the main St Regis Hotel.

It was exciting to watch the skiers at Deer Valley on opening day. I had a perfect view, since my perch was the heated balcony of a luxurious ski condo in a new building just completed adjacent to the St Regis funicular building in Snow Park resort complex at the base of Deer Valley Resort. The opening photograph is the lobby of the new building.

The new St Regis building is to the left of the funicular lobby. To the right is a connecting building completed several years ago. The funicular rises up the hill to the main hotel in the Deer Crest development. The new building was designed by IBI Architects and built by Okland Construction. Its location is convenient to lifts and Snow Park businesses, and there is extra ski support from the onsite ski club and a ski valet.

The hallway from the central funicular lobby leads to this private lobby gathering spot with a balcony. Adjacent is a fully equipped fitness room and nearby are the elevators.

The elevator to the penthouse opens directly into the suite.

From the elevator, you enter the four-bedroom penthouse suite’s library with curved sofas stretching through the space past the fireplace, television, and bookshelves. In the distance you can see the kitchen to the right and the great room to the left and a hallway leading to the four bedrooms.

The rich wood of the great room and the long fireplace make it a welcoming spot. To the right is a dining table with built-in bench seating along the wall that provides extra flexibility to add place settings should the need arise. Beyond the seating area is a heated deck with additional dining space when the weather allows.

Opposite is a large and well-equipped kitchen with an island that offers casual seating.

The primary suite has a sitting area in front of the fire and a deep covered and heated deck that greatly expands the living space. Out the window, you can see the run leading into Snow Park Village.

I was quite taken by the size and luxury of the penthouse suite, but the other condo homes were also amazing. I will give you a glimpse of the bathrooms of some of the units below to show you that the same standard of luxury prevails.

This is the primary suite’s bath of a unit on the floor below. It features a steam shower and a soaking tub.

Another bath on the floor below featured a Japanese soaking tub. I can only imagine how wonderful that would feel on tired muscles after a day skiing, cycling, or hiking.

We’re all of a common mindset hoping for some big snowfalls in the upcoming days. I hope those staying in these new slopeside homes have a wonderful time.
