With a whopping 41 homes, this year’s Utah Valley Parade of Homes was the biggest parade yet. And as always, Utah builders and designers came ready to show off. We spotted some inspiration-worthy trends in the homes this round — scroll on to spot the latest.

Utah Valley Parade of Homes Trend Watch

COLOR DRENCHING

Moody hues reigned supreme, delivering lush color to all manner of spaces: think deep gray home offices, powdery blue pantries and bunk rooms, and more.

ARCHITECTURAL ARCHES

Whether framing shelves, introducing rooms or simply adding visual interest to an otherwise simple wall, arches were around every rounded corner.

ROUNDED FURNITURE

Speaking of curves, home furnishings also presented softer edges. Circular sectionals and tuft chairs alike brought up the cozy factor in living spaces.

SHOWSTOPPING TUBS

Because why shouldn’t you relax in high style? Tubs of all shapes, custom colors and materials acted as ‘wow-factors’ in primary bathrooms.

STYLISH SHELVES

These designers prove that storage doesn’t have to be purely functional. Homes across the valley showcased storage solutions just as eye-catching as the items they contain.

STRING LIGHTS

Homes need bling just as much as the runway. Necklace-like fixtures were spotted in several homes throughout the parade.

PATTERN-PACKED TILE

Bring on the color and texture – mixed patterns and hues in tile work delivers visual interest to any space. At this round of Utah Valley Parade of Homes, whimsical patterns could be seen beyond the typical bath: in outdoor lounges, pool decks, and even range hoods.

HERO STAIRCASES

Ever the architect’s darling, staircases were a key focal point of several homes.

WATER FEATURES

Bring on the zen. Soothing water features could be spotted both indoors and out at this year’s Utah Valley Parade of Homes. Indoor waterfalls, jaw dropping pools — pick your spa space wisely.

VERTICAL FLUTING AND SLATTING

Many Utah Valley Parade of Homes designers were thinking on a big scale. Fireplaces, counters and ceilings all sported soaring fluted details, making tall ceilings seem even grander.
