If you’re craving a cozy, chic and winter-white décor this holiday season, deck your halls with a dose of hygge. Designer Don Brady and his wife Sinikka did exactly that when they celebrated with one of our favorite holiday homes of all times (White House, feature in our 2006 issue). The Christmas décor is as fabulous, festive and fantasy-like today as it was over ten years ago. It’s also packed with spectacular decorating ideas for you and your home.

Packages and books are wrapped in robin’s egg blue paper to foster the home’s tranquil palette.

Beneath a star, easy-to-remove lettering adorns the walls with the gold holiday phrases.

Flocked pine, blue ribbon and small white lights transform an iron chandelier into graceful holiday display.

Sinikka knitted soft wool pillow cases that accent the décor with shots of tranquil blue and luxurious texture.

Slipcovers, made with textiles ranging from sailcloth to linen, drape the furniture in a peaceful palette of white.

Originally from Finland, Sinikka creates irresistible Scandinavian foods for a festive get-together. Don arranges the foods a carefully as he did the accessories throughout the interior.

White-painted pinecones ties with wide white ribbon make a stunning statement of simplicity on doors leading into the home.

Green cauliflower heads, pale pink roses and hydrangeas add shots of color and natural freshness to the table’s serene blue-and-white palette.

A simple, shimmering swag of silver adorns a mirror with an ice-like decoration.
